Our latest update introduces two exciting features that greatly enhance the offline and online app experience.

1. Offline Maps: Previously, when disconnected from the internet while recording a route, SUDA would no longer retrieve new terrain images for the map display. The new Offline Maps feature allows you to download map data in advance, ensuring that when recording offline, you still have access to all essential terrain data. To use this feature, follow these steps: open your user profile screen, tap the settings button in the top right corner, select "Offline Maps," tap the add map button in the top right corner, choose your desired map from the available options, wait for it to download, and finally enable it in the route recorder by tapping the eye button and selecting the "Offline" option. Please keep in mind that Offline Maps is currently in beta and limited to a select few maps, but we have plans to expand the selection in the future.
2. Live Tracking: Share your real-time location and progress while recording with our new Live Tracking feature. Stay connected by enabling this feature in the route recorder settings. Share the live tracking link with your contacts, which will allow them to monitor your progress online. Don't worry about momentary loss of connection; the app stores your progress while offline and updates our Live Tracking Service once your device reconnects, ensuring that no details are missed by those monitoring your journey. Please note that a stable internet connection is required for this feature to function seamlessly.
3. Geotagged Pictures: When adding photos to your routes, SUDA now automatically detects and displays their respective capture locations on the route map (if available). While your route is still a draft, you have the option to selectively show or hide location information for each photo before posting. Once your route is published, any hidden locations will be removed from the corresponding photos.
